Malaga Millers

Malaga Millers is based in Bukomero Township on Hoima Road in Mityana District.  The company is engaged in the milling of maize and rice for farmers in the surrounding areas.  Milling is on a fee-basis.  The company also provides temporary storage facilities for clients seeking a market for their product.  The rapid growth in rice production in areas surrounding Bukomero town has allowed the company to grow significantly in recent years despite growing competition.

The maize is milled and the farmer collects the flour and maize bran or may sell one or both to the company.  Similarly, rice and rice bran are collected by the farmer and generally sold to traders dealing in these commodities.  The company plans to start trading in rice (i.e., buying and selling rice on its own account) in order to alleviate marketing difficulties faced by some of its rice clients.  

Products sold at Malaga Millers include the following: maize flour, maize bran, rice and rice bran (by farmers, usually).  The company is considering expanding into rice trading and animal feed manufacturing.  Customers are encouraged to come and buy the above-mentioned products from the company or directly from our farmer clients at the factory site.  

Malaga Millers provides high quality maize flour, milled rice, maize bran and rice bran.  Storage facilities may be available for a fee.
